Hello and thank you for visiting our page! I assume that since you are reading about our products, that you have an ATV/UTV/OHV, or are considering the purchase of one! I wanted to tell you a bit about how we came to be selling ATCs (All Tire Clamps) and how it has changed our lives.
So, let's start at the beginning! My husband has been a welder and fabricator his entire life. He has always built things. He has always had a passion for going fast, or going off-road. He has raced hill climbs, 1/4 mile drag races, circle track, and more. He has always dealt with hauling vehicles, as well as other types of equipment, on trailers. He has battled with ratchet straps for most of his life.
2 years ago, we decided we were in a good place financially, and purchased a brand new 2015 Artic Cat Wildcat, 1,000 cc, 2 seater, side by side. After about a year of hauling it around on the car hauling trailer, and strapping it down by the frame and struggling to keep tension on the ratchet straps due to the awesome travel built in to the suspension of our machine, my husband decided to build the Wildcat it's own trailer. As a professional fabricator, this was not a big deal to him. Until it was. When the trailer was nearly complete, he stopped. He was just about ready to attach the tie down loops to the trailer when he came to me and said, "I really don't want to continue to struggle with ratchet straps, and they are damaging the powder coating on the chassis!" I asked what he had in mind. He grumbled something as he opened Auto Cad on his computer, which is quite normal. About an hour later, he asked me to look at what he had drawn, with the help of a friend who had a similar idea. He showed me the prototype drawings for the ATC that we are now selling. I was stunned. I said, "Wow, babe! Why hasn't anybody else done this before!?" Before I knew it, he was building a set for our trailer, in the shop.
We installed the ATCs on the new trailer. We loaded the Wildcat. We left to go riding. We were absolutely amazed at the way the trailer pulled. It was smoother than any other trailer, ever. And, he has pulled a LOT of trailers! The ATCs only hold onto the tires, therefore allowing the suspension of the Wildcat to act as intended, absorbing bumps, etc. That machine never moved an inch, as far as the tires were concerned. Only the suspension moved. Oh, and did I mention, it only took about 30 seconds to load it onto the trailer? Oh, and did I also mention that it took 30 seconds to unload it when we arrived at our riding location?! We were immediately enamored with this means of tying down our machine for hauling. We had to show other people!
We started out showing other people in the loading zone where we were riding, after seeing several people stop to adjust ratchet straps that had lost tension. People were fascinated and wanted to know where we got these things! After having the same response everywhere we took our machine and trailer, we decided we had something, and jumped on the internet to file a patent!
So, here we are! Selling ATCs to the public after struggling with ratchet straps for many years opened our eyes.
