I'm thinking of a totally different scenario today...prepping to go hunting! If you are a hunter who hauls your ATV to camp, then you know what I'm talking about. How many hours does it take to get all the supplies and gear secured to safely haul to camp? Adding the side by side into the mix really changed up our hunting prep. Since it's addition to our family, we had to completely revamp our loading and hauling strategy. We now MUST take a trailer, as side by sides do not fit in the bed of the truck well. When we had a 4-wheeler, it was a different story. Now, we have 2 teenaged hunters, ourselves, the dog, and the side by side to deal with. The last thing I want to deal with when loading all of our elk hunting gear to make our trek to the mountains for 7 days, is a bunch of tangled ratchet straps that we have to work around on the trailer. This trailer is already full, and every precious inch of decking is necessary to haul all of our camp and hunting supplies! Load the machine first, pack everything around it? Yep, that seems accurate. I might actually have enough tie down points to secure all of the gear BESIDES the side by side when I do have to start using ratchet straps to secure other things that don't have tires. Because I know that the All Tire Clamps will secure the side by side totally, I have no hesitations to put things under it, around it, inside of it! And I am totally anticipating that everything will ride just fine as we bounce along the rough logging road to camp, which always freaks me out...what is going to fall off, come out, how many times will we have to reattach ratchet straps that lost tension? Now? I only worry about the stuff that is secured with ratchet straps, which does NOT include the Wildcat! The most expensive piece of equipment we take with should be the most secure! And, now that there are ATCs on the trailer, we are confident that the side by side will not move and that it is safe to haul!!
